Okay, call me one grateful woman. I have nothing to do but hang out with my husband, dog, and friends, for 3 weeks. Well, I do have a few appointments but nothing like WORK. My house is lovely, my neighbors are quiet, and so are their pets. If I hadn't seen that Michael Moore movie last night and that Six Feet Under 2 weeks ago, and if I didn't have a pathalogical need to check my email, and if I didn't have a serious media addiction, I would feel pretty good about life right now.
Bruce Springsteen is going out on tour to the swing states. I haven't registered to vote yet. Does my vote matter? does anybody hear me? the older I get, the less my opinion matters. so why bother? why bother to use capital letters? why bother to record any stream of consciousness musings in a blog? I really like to type. I really like to write. so why not? I'm on vacation. I can do what i want. I can use capital letters sometimes...and other times i can choose not to use them. i can even misspell stuff if i want. but i won't, not intentionally. It's a little after noon. the neighborhood is quiet except for a lawnmower moaning down the street. it promises to be another hot windy day. I'm reading "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown and I'm more than halfway done. It's pretty good, not as good as the DaVinci Code, but I'm not sure why. It's pretty much the same plot. It's Friday. Date night. What to wear? who to impress?
okay, I know all this is a little weak. But maybe when life is good, your blog is boring. What do you think?

blog. i havent used capital letters since i was a child. Be pollitical, spell badly. register to vote. you can make a difference. a very minor few peoples votes changed history in 2000 allowing the man who is giving me nightmares to be heavily placed in the position of president of the United States of America. Whatever your opinions on this man, I feel you should vote. It is imperitive. you pay your taxes. do it. do it so you can have a voice. do it so if you don't like the way things turned out, you can, with a free conscience say as a participating american, "I HATE THE WAY THIS TURNED OUT. MY VOTE DIDNT EVEN COUNT!!" if you don't vote.. you are a victim of other peoples politics. you are as a puppet in the hands of others. without a voice. if you vote you may still be the puppet of other people's politics but you have tried to help. tried to make a difference. women fought hard for you to vote. president george the original, the washington, fought for you to have a vote. i want you to have one too. even if you only use it to cancel out My vote. do it. vote. it is important.
